In our daily life, we consume or use a lot of chemicals. This concerns cosmetics, hygiene products, pharmaceuticals or household products for example. However, these products can have a direct or indirect impact on our health and the environment.
In addition, the textile sector is the second most polluting industry in the world. By 2050, this could represent 26% of greenhouse gas emissions. A piece of clothing can travel up to 65,000 km before arriving in our dressing room. It is also an industry that requires a lot of water because it consumes 4% of the drinking water available in the world.
For the sustainability of ecosystems, it is therefore really important to find alternatives to these products that occupy our walk-in closets, our bathrooms, our refrigerators and our cupboards. These alternatives can be organic or natural products, produced locally in order to avoid the environmental cost of transport.
